Remote Pairs

A remote pair is an even number of cells, all of which contain the same two candidates, that share units in a chain pattern. Both of these candidates can be eliminated from any cell that shares a unit with both end-points of this chain.
Consider the example on this page. The four highlighted cells each contain only the candidates 1 and 7. They are all connected in a chain, the end-points being C6 and E2. The 7 highlighted in green shares a unit with both these end-points and can be eliminated. This is because if one end-point is a 1, the other must be a 7, and vice versa. Either way, the 7 gets eliminated.

Sudoku Snake gives Remote Pairs a skill value of 150.
