Mutant Jellyfish

A Mutant Jellyfish is a jellyfish that is expanded beyond just rows and columns. Where a Jellyfish is 4 rows (or columns) that have candidates in only 4 columns (or rows), a Mutant Jellyfish is 4 of any kind of unit that have candidates only in 4 different units. See also Mutant Swordfish. The primary units can be rows, columns, boxes, or any combination, and the secondary units can be any as well. Then, any of the candidate in question that is in a secondary unit, and not in any of the primary units, can be eliminated.
Consider the example on this page. The primary units are columns 2 and 8, and rows 2 and 8. All the 9's in these units are highlighted. Now, notice that all of these 9's can be found in the four corner boxes, which are the secondary units. Thus, since four units contain 9's Only in four different units, we can eliminate all other 9's found in the corner boxes (highlighted in green). Not all mutant jellyfish will be this clean-looking, since the units can be any combination of rows, columns and boxes.
Note that the candidate in question should never be found in cells that intersect 2 or more different primary units, which would be the center cells in each corner box in the example on this page.

Sudoku Snake gives Mutant Jellyfish a skill value of 3000.
